These vegetable parathas are very filling and can be served with curd or green pudina chutney.

Makes 6 parathas
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup shredded cabbage
1/2 cup grated carrot
1 small onion , chopped
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 slit green chilli , finely chopped
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
oil for cooking
Method
- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough, using very little water.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 6" diameter, using the flour for rolling.
- Heat a tava and cook each paratha, using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Serve hot with chutney or tea.
