Wholesome Deep Dish Pizza recipe - How to make Wholesome Deep Dish Pizza

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 1 pizza.

Ingredients


1/2 recipe Basic Pizza Base
1/2 recipe Pizza Sauce
butter or oil for greasing

To be mixed into a topping
1 1/2 cups mixed vegetables, sliced
2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
salt to taste

For baking
1/2 cup grated mozzrella cheese
1 tbsp olive oil or oil

Method
    Main Procedure
  1. Roll out the pizza dough into a circle of 200 mm. (8") diameter and 8 mm. (1/3") thickness. Line a 150 mm. (6") greased pie dish with it.
  2. Spread the pizza sauce over the base and fill with the topping.
  3. Top with cheese and finally drizzle the olive oil over it.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (360°F) for about 20 minutes or until the base is evenly browned.
  5. Serve hot.
