Baked Paneer in White Sauce

Makes 2 servings
1 cup paneer (cottage cheese) strips
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/4 cup finely chopped boiled carrots
1 cup white sauce
of sugar
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
2 tbsp grated processed cheese

- Method
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan and add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the capsicum, carrots and white sauce, sugar, salt and pepper, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the paneer and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while mixing gently.
- Spread the mixture on a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over it and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 5 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
