Chocolate Cinnamon Peaches, Stuffed Canned Peaches with Vanilla Ice-cream

A mind-blowing Italian dessert of ice-cream served on a based of chocolate-stuffed peaches. The cinnamon-tinged dark chocolate stuffing is enhanced with some crushed digestive biscuits, which give it a nice, coarse mouth-feel.
While some traditional versions of Chocolate Cinnamon Peaches might have wine, we have avoided it in order to make the lovely dessert suitable for all age groups.

Makes 5 servings
1 1/2 tbsp grated dark chocolate
1/4 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
5 halved canned peaches
4 crushed digestive biscuit
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp fresh cream
1 tsp butter
For Serving
4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
Method
- Method
- Combine the crushed biscuits, chocolate, honey, cinnamon powder and fresh cream in a bowl and mix well.
- Fill the cavities in the peach halves with this mixture, mounding it up slightly.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick tava (griddle) , arrange the stuffed peaches in the pan with the stuffed side facing upwards, cover with a lid and cook on a slow flame for 2 minutes.
- Cool slightly and serve with vanilla ice-cream.
