Makes 10 to 15 servings
1 cup plain flour (maida) / all purpose flour
4 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 to 2 tbsp white butter (room temperature)
1 to 3 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 eggs (room temperature)
1/3 cup warm milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
a pinch of salt
For The Butter Icing
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
3/4 cup white butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
Method
for the butter cream icing
- Method
- Seive the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder thrice.
- Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180°c.
- Take a clean bowl and cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
- In another clean bowl add the eggs and vanilla essence and beat to a stiff froth.
- Slowly add the beaten eggs to the creamed mixture and mix gently with help of a spatula.
- Fold in the well-sieved flour carefully and mix gently with a spatula.Do not add all the flour at a time.
- While folding keep adding a little milk and gently fold the mixture.
- The mixture should be of a get dropping consistency. It should fall off easily from spatula.
- Pour the mixture into muffin moulds.
- Bake in the pre heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15-20 minutes.

- Combine all the ingredients together in a beeo bowl and beat till light and fluffy.
- Use piping bag and decorate your cupcakes.
