Dahi ki Sabji recipe - How to make Dahi ki Sabji

Makes 2 to 4 servings
200 gms curds (dahi)
a pinch turmeric powder (haldi)
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
2 tsp coriander seeds powder
4 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp garam masala
salt to taste
3 green chillies
2 chopped tomatoes
1 chopped onion
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
a pinch asafoetida (hing)
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Remove the curd in a container and add little water to whisk it.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
- When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida, green chillies and curry leaves and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add the onions and saute till oil starts separating from then.
- Add the tomatoes and all the spices and cook till the oil starts to separate from the masala.
- Reduce the flame and start adding curd batter to the the mixture, while stirring continuously.
- Bring it to boil on low flame itself.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander.
