A delicious faraali recipe which is best served piping hot with a cup of fresh curds.

Makes 2 servings
1 cup sama millet , washed
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 small potato , cubed
2 tsp rock salt
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 small green chillies
chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
- Method
- Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds and green chillies.
- When the seeds crackle, add the chilli powder and salt and saute for 10 seconds.
- Add the potato and rice, mix well and saute till they turn golden brown.
- Add 2 cups water,lower the flame and cover and pressure cook for about 5-6 minutes or till the potatoes are cooked and water is dried.
- Serve hot garnished with coriander.

This faraali recipe turned out super duper tasty. Thanks for this recipe. I altered it a little by adding 3 cups of water instead of two, and added some pepper powder. Also, while garnishing with coriander, I added roasted groundnuts powder to it.
