Makes 4 servings
300 gms buttons mushrooms (khumbh)
3 medium tomatoes boiled and pureed
3 medium onions , thinly sliced
1 medium capsicum thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
1 bayleaf (tejpatta)
4 cloves (laung / lavang)
2 green cardamoms
1 small stick cinnamon (dalchini)
1 blade mace (javantri)
salt to taste
4 tsp garlic-ginger-green chilli paste
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder
1/2 tbsp black peppercorns (kalimirch) , crushed
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 cup fresh cream
Method
- Method
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add bay leaf, cloves, green cardamon, cinnamon, mace and onions, saute it till the onions are translucent.
- Add garlic-ginger-green chilli paste and tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add capsicum and mushrooms, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, garam masala and frsh cream mix well and cook for a minute.
- Serve immediately garnished with coriander.
