Oats Murrukku, Baked recipe - How to make Oats Murrukku, Baked

  2. Transfer the powder into a deep bowl, add in all the remaining ingredients and knead into a soft dough using approx. ¾ cup of water.

  4. Press out 50 mm. (2”) diameter round swirls of murukku on a lined baking baking tray.
  5. Bake all the murukku in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15 minutes, turn them over and bake them again for 10 minutes.
  6. Cool the {span class="bold1"}baked oats murukku{/span} completely and serve or store in an air-tight container and use as required.

  1. To make oats murukku recipe, in a mixer add 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats.
  2. Add ¼ cup roasted chana dal (daria)
  3. Blend it to a smooth powder.
  4. Transfer the powder into a deep bowl.
  5. Add 1 tsp ginger (adrak) green chilli paste
  6. Add 3/4 tsp red chili powder.
  7. Add ½ tbsp sesame seeds.
  8. Add ½ tbsp black sesame seeds.
  9. Add salt to taste.
  10. Add 1 tsp oil.
  11. Add ¾ cup water.
  12. Knead into a soft dough.
  13. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions.

  1. Instead of whole wheat flour you can use jowar flour to make the murukku dough.
