Makes 12 vadis
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 1/2 cups finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 1/2 tbsp semolina (rava)
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
2 tsp green chilli paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
1 tsp fruit salt
oil for greasing

- Method
- Combine the wheat flour, besan, coriander, semolina, ginger paste, green chilli paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, sugar, oil, salt along with ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well to make a smooth batter.
- Just before cooking, add the fruit salt and 2 tsp of water over it. When the bubbles form, mix gently.
- Grease 6 paper cups of 50 mm. (2”) diameter using oil and pour 2 tbsp of the batter in each of 6 cups and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
- Allow it cool slightly and then de-mould it.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make more 6 vadis in one more batch.
- Serve immediately.
