Ingredients

8 slices whole wheat bread
4 cabbage leaves
a pinch of saffron (kesar) strands

For The Spread
1 tbsp mayonnaise , mustard flavoured
1 1/2 tbsp gulkand
ghee for greasing

Method
    Method
  1. Place the bread slices on a clean dry surface and spread the gulkand evenly on 4 bread slices.
  2. Spread the mayonnaise evenly on other 4 bread slices and keep aside.
  3. soak the saffron in little water 10 minutes before serving.
  4. Place a cabbage leaf on each bread slice with mayonnaise and keep aside.
  5. Sprinkle the soaked saffron on each bread slice layered with gulkand.
  6. Place the bread slice with gulkand above the other 4 bread slices, gulkand side facing downwards.
  7. Spread some ghee on both the sides and grill in a sandwich maker till golden brown and crisp.
  8. Serve hot.
