Badam kheer is a sweet dish prepared from badam or almonds which are ground into a paste and then boiled with milk and sugar. A rich , creamy and tasty dessert item, reserved for special gatherings or occasions.

Makes 6 servings
1 cup blanched almonds (badam)
1 1/2 tbsp ghee
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
sugar to taste
Method
- Method
- Grind almonds to a powder and keep aside.
- Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add almond powder and saute on a slow flame, till the powder turns light brown in colour.
- Add 3 cups of milk, mix well and bring to boil.
- Simmer till the mixture thickens and add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Serve warm or chilled.
