25 large sized mushrooms (khumb)
To Be Mixed Into A Stuffing
1 cup grated processed cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 tsp butter
salt to taste

Tips to wash button mushrooms
- Never soak mushrooms in water. Use a damp paper towel to wipe each mushroom, one at a time, to remove any dirt. You can lightly rinse the mushrooms with cool water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- You can also lightly dust them in plain flour and rinse them with water.
For the mushroom stuffed with cheese stuffing
- Take 1 cup of grated processed cheese in a bowl.
- Add 1/4 cup of finely chopped onions to it. You can also use other crunchy vegetables like capsicum and colored bell pepper.
- Now add finely chopped garlic to this. There are many variations to this recipe, you can add ingredients of your choice to make the stuffing more interesting.
- Also add finely chopped green chilies. They provide a nice punch to the bland mushroom and cheese.

- Stuff each mushroom cap with a portion of the stuffing using your hands or a teaspoon. While you are stuffing the mushroom, switch on the oven to pre-heat.
