Cokum Drink recipe - How to make Cokum Drink

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 4 glasses

Ingredients

1 cup freshly grated coconut
7 to 8 kokum peels , soaked in 1 cup of water overnight
1 tsp green chilli paste
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
salt to taste
pinch black salt (sanchal)
2 tsp sugar
ice cubes for serving

Method
    Method
  1. Add 1/2 cup of water to the coconut and blend in a mixer to a fine paste.
  2. Remove and squeeze out all the milk formed.
  3. Sieve and again blend the coconut remains in the mixer and put another 1/2 cup of water and grind to a fine paste.
  4. Take out and squeeze out the milk and sieve it again.
  5. Add the green chilli paste, ginger paste, salt, sugar, black salt to the coconut milk and mix thoroughly.
  6. Add the water of the kokum which was used for soaking it and mix well.
  7. Pour in individual glasses and put some ice cubes and serve chilled.
