Ingredients


For Cucumber Roti
1 1/4 cups grated cucumber , peeled and squeezed
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) , sieved
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
1/2 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) paste
1/8 tsp salt or as advised by the doctor / dietitian

Other Ingredients
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling , sieved
3 tsp oil for cooking

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}cucumber roti{/span}, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using (approx. ¼ cup) water.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
  3. Roll out a portion of the dough into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle using a little wheat flour for rolling.
  4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the roti on a medium flame, using ¼ tsp oil for each roti, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make 10 more {span class="bold1"}cucumber roti{/span}.
  6. Serve {span class="bold1"}cucumber roti{/span} immediately.
