Green Peas and Mushroom Curry recipe - How to make Green Peas and Mushroom Curry

Serves 6.
3/4 cup green peas, boiled
1 small can mushrooms (khumbh) (400 grams), drained and sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp raisins (kismis)
3 tbsp fresh cream
4 tbsp curds (dahi)
2 tbsp ghee
salt to taste
To be ground into a paste
5 cloves (laung / lavang)
25 mm. piece ginger (adrak)
2 tbsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
2 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
2 cardamoms (elaichi)
4 green chillies
Method
- Method
- Heat the ghee and fry the onion until golden.
- Add the garlic and fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the paste and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the green peas, mushrooms, raisins, cream, curds, 1/2 teacup of water and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
