  1. To make {span class="bold1"}black tea with fennel{/span}, boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan on a medium flame for 3 minutes.
  2. Switch off the flame, add the tea powder, cover it with a lid and keep aside to 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Strain immediately using a strainer and discard the tea powder.
  4. Serve the {span class="bold1"}black tea{/span} immediately.

How to make Basic Black Tea

  1. For making Basic Black tea, take a saucepan and put 2 (400 ml approx.) cups of water.
  2. Let it boil completely for about 3 minutes. Turn the flame off.
  3. Add the tea powder. Always add the tea powder only after you have turned the flame off. This will prevent the Black Tea from getting over-brewed and bitter.
  4. Cover with a lid. The lid will seal the saucepan and will not let the aroma of the tea leaves escape.
  5. Let the Black Tea leaves steep for about 2 ½ to 3 minutes.
  6. Strain the tea using a tea strainer. You can also use a carafe to make this tea. Put water in the carafe and boil the water in a microwave. Rest of the steps will remain the same. Pour the black tea into your cups.
  7. Add 1 tsp of sugar in each cup. This step is completely optional. Adding sugar should be avoided as it lessens the effect of the Black Tea.
  8. Serve the Black tea immediately while it is hot.

  1. For making Black tea with Fennel, take a saucepan and put 2 cups (400 ml approx) of water into it.
  2. Add 1 tsp fennel seeds into the saucepan. Fennel acts as a diuretic, aids healthy digestion and cures gas or bloating. Always add the fennel seeds to the water before you boil them so that they release their goodness into the water befittingly.
  3. Boil for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Turn the flame off and add the tea leaves .
  5. Cover with a lid to prevent the aroma from getting escaped.Let them steep for about 2 ½ to 3 minutes till they release their aroma.
  6. Strain the tea using a tea strainer. Pour the black tea into your cups.
  7. Add 1 tsp of honey in each cup. This step is completely optional.
  8.  Serve your Black Tea with Fennel immediately.

Tips for black tea

  2. Covering with a lid is important. The lid will seal the saucepan and will not let the aroma of the tea leaves escape.
  3. You can add honey to make it sweet. 
  4. If you like a slightly spiced tea, you can also add a cinnamon stick along with the tea leaves.
