Lettuce, corn and tomatoes are a great combination for a salad. Basil lends a very unique aroma and taste to this salad. The olive oil with lemon juice and a tinge of sugar makes it a perfect dressing.

Makes 4 servings
3 cups iceberg lettuce , torn into pieces
1/2 cup boiled yellow corn (makai ke dane)
1/2 cup tomatoes , cut into cubes
1/2 cup cucumber , cut into cubes
1/4 cup basil leaves , torn into pieces
To Be Mixed Together For The Dressing
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
a pinch of powdered sugar
salt and to taste

- Method
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and refrigerate till chilled.
- Just before serving pour the dressing and toss gently.
- Serve immediately.
