A blend of fruits like pineapple and pear, flavoured with black salt and cumin seeds powder, gives this juice an awesome flavoured sugar free chia fruit juice that is tangy and naturally sweet with a touch of spice.
You can have this healthy chia detox drink in the morning with healthy vegetarian breakfast or in between meals. The pineapple is a good source of vitamin C, which further aids in building immunity and increasing your disease fighting capability. This also adds glow to your skin and prevents wrinkles due to ageing.
To make pineapple chia seeds pear juice, combine the chia seeds and 3 tbsp of water in a bowl, mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes. Combine the pineapple, pear and 1½ cups of chilled water in a mixer and blend till smooth. Transfer the pineapple mixture into a deep bowl, add all the remaining ingredients, including the soaked chia seeds and mix very well. Refrigerate the juice for at least 1 hour. Pour equal quantities of the juice into 5 individual glasses and serve chilled.

For Pineapple Chia Seeds and Pear Juice
2 1/2 cups pineapple cubes
1 1/2 tsp chia seeds
1 cup pear cubes
1/2 tsp black salt (sanchal)
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
- Method
- Combine the chia seeds and 3 tbsp of water in a bowl, mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- Combine the pineapple, pear and 1½ cups of chilled water in a mixer and blend till smooth.
- Transfer the pineapple mixture into a deep bowl, add all the remaining ingredients, including the soaked chia seeds and mix very well.
- Refrigerate the juice for atleast 1 hour.
- Pour equal quantities of the juice into 5 individual glasses and serve chilled.

To make pineapple chia seeds pear juice, first make pineapple cubes. After peeling, cut off the top and bottom of the pineapple with a sharp knife, making a stable flat base. Stand the pineapple upright and remove the remaining skin and remaining eyes using a paring knife. Slice the fruit from all 4 sides vertically and discard the middle core. Dice or cube pineapple by cutting each vertical piece into uniform thick long strips. Line up the strips with your non-working hand and cut them into thick square pieces by making horizontal slits. Cube them as per the recipe's need regarding the size of the cubes, (for example, "cut into ½-inch cubes"). Small cubes are wonderful addition to salads whereas large ones are used for veggies.

Next we need pear cubes. For that wash the pear with water. Start with an unpeeled pear as they are mostly not peeled. Take a sharp knife and cut around 1/2 inch from top to remove the stem. Then place the pear on a chopping board and cut it into half from the centre vertically. Cut each half portion into 2 to 3 more long pieces and remove the seeds and inedible fibrous part from the centre using a sharp knife. Line all the pieces together and now cut make 2 to 3 horizontal cut to get pear cubes.

Then combine 1½ tsp of chia seeds and 3 tbsp of water in a bowl, mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes. This will allow the chia seeds to soak and swell.
- Next to make healthy chia pineapple juice, add the pineapple into a mixer jar.
- Add the pear cubes.
- Add 1½ cups of water to get the required consistency of the juice.
