Spicy Paneer Tikka Masala recipe - How to make Spicy Paneer Tikka Masala

Makes 4 servings
3 tsp oil
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1/4 large capsicum , cut lengthwise
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tsp tandoori masala
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp coriander (dhania) seeds powder
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp tomatoes paste
1 drop orange red food colour
250 gms paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes
1/4 tsp chilli powder
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions, ginger-garlic paste, capsicum and cumin seeds and saute till the seeds crackle and onions turns translucent.
- Add the remaining masalas, sugar and salt, mix well and saute for 3 minutes.
- ADd the milk and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and food colour and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the paneer cubes and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the chilli powder and mix well.
- Serve hot with garlic naans or rice.
