Stir Fried Mushrooms

Mushrooms stir-fried with onions, tomatoes and oregano to prepare this hot starter almost instantly. Serve this mixture with pieces of pita bread or topped on French bread.

Makes 2 servings
2 cups sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
2 tsp oil
1/2 cup sliced onions
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste
1/4 tsp of tabasco sauce
Method
- Method
- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the mushrooms and salt and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, oregano and pepper, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Finally add tobasco sauce and mix gently.
- Serve immediately.
