Makes 1 cup
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1 tsp oil
1 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
2 tsp cornflour
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp vinegar
salt to taste
- Method
- Combine the cornflour and ½ cup of water in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the ginger and garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for few seconds.
- Add all the remaining ingredients along with cornflour –water mixture, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring continuously or till the sauce thickens.
- Use immediately or store it in an air – tight container and use as required.

What a nice tangy sauce ! Very handy and used it for making my stir fry. It gave a nice oriental and exotic flavor. Next time I am planning to use it while making my noodles or as a gravy with mixed veggies to eat with my hot steaming fried rice.
