Here is a zesty sauce that is sure to add an adventurous dimension to any snack it is served with! The Tomato Chilli Garlic Sauce has a lingering flavour, with the sharp flavours of tomato and garlic spiced up with chilli oil, green chillies and ginger.
It has a nice sweet-spicy-tangy flavour, and goes great with starters like Budijaw , a Burmese doodhi snack, and Paneer Phudina Tikki .

Makes 0.75 cup
3/4 cup roughly chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp roughly chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/2 tbsp roughly chopped ginger (adrak)
1/2 tsp roughly chopped green chillies
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp vinegar
1/4 tsp powdered sugar
1 tsp chilli oil
salt to taste

- Combine all the ingredients and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste.
- Use as required.
