To make bread dosa, combine the bread, semolina, rice flour, curds, salt and 1 cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 30 minutes. Blend the bread mixture in a mixer with ¼ cup of water and blend it till smooth. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle), pour a ladleful of the batter and spread in a circular motion to make a 175 mm. (7") diameter circle and pour ½ tsp of ghee on the top and edges. Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Fold the dosa into a semicircle. Tips for bread dosa. 1. Check the consistency of the batter before making the dosa. Add water accordingly to get a pouring consistency dosa batter. If the batter is too thin, it will surely stick to the pan and form limpy dosa. In that case, add 1 to 2 tbsp of rice flour to the batter. 2. This instant Indian bread dosa must however be had hot and fresh, right off the tava, to enjoy its luxuriant mouth-feel and unique flavour.

10 slices of bread , torn into pieces
1/2 cup semolina (rava / sooji)
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1/2 cup curd (dahi)
salt to taste
5 tsp melted ghee for cooking

Add semolina to give our quick bread dosa a crisp grainy texture. if you plan to make only bread uttapam , you can reduce the quantity of rava and add soaked poha instead, that will yield soft bread uttapam.

Add curd. You can use fresh or sour curd, it helps in improving the texture of our instant bread dosa.

Add salt. If you want while grinding you can add a little ginger, a few green chillies, cumin seeds etc or give a tempering to the batter later.

Pour 1 cup of water.

Mix well. Cover it with a lid and keep aside for 30 minutes. After half an hour, pour ¼ cup of water.

Blend the bread mixture till smooth.

Check the consistency of the batter of instant bread dosa. Add water accordingly to get a pouring consistency dosa batter. If the batter is too thin, it will surely stick to the pan and form limpy dosa. In that case, add 1-2 tbsp of rice flour to the batter.
How to make instant bread dosa

To prepare no fermentation bread dosa, heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and pour a ladleful of the batter.

Spread in a circular motion to make a 175 mm. (7") diameter circle.

Pour ½ tsp of ghee on the top and edges. Alternatively, you can also make use of butter or oil to cook the bread dosa.

Cover it with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

Fold the dosa into a semicircle. For a variation you can prepare an aloo masala and prepare instant bread masala dosa recipe or sprinkle some vegetables like chopped onions or grated carrot or shredded cabbage and make bread uttapam.
