Ingredients

1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup peeled and grated apples
1/4 cup finely chopped dark chocolate
3/4 cup milk
2 tbsp castor sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp oil

Other Ingredients
oil for cooking

To Serve
maple syrup

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl with a little water and whisk well to make a smooth batter, making sure no lumps remain. Keep aside.
  2. Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan and spread about 3 to 4 tablespoonss of the batter (ΒΌ cup) to make a thick pancake of about 100 mm. (4") diameter.
  3. Cook the pancakes on both sides over medium heat until golden brown, using a little oil if required.
  4. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 7 more pancakes.
  5. Serve hot with maple syrup.
