(7") diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides. Serve with til chutney, achaar and curds.

1/4 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
salt to taste

I tried your Dashmi Roti ( savory ) also. which reminded me of my childhood. In our vacations we use to go to native place.In the early morning my grandmother used to make these Dashmi rotis & all of us used to feast on it alongwith Homemade curds & Til chutney. In this fast food age, we have forgotten our traditional recipes. Thanks for this simple recipe
