Delicate crepes filled with cottage cheese in a creamy makhani gravy.
Spinach is good for everyone! these spicy vegetables rolled in spinach leaves provide supplies of vitamin a, which boosts the immune system, improves vision and nourishes the skin of a mom-to-be and her baby as well.
White stock not only helps in giving a nice taste to the dish but also when simmered gives an excellent aroma. . . Make sure you do not chop your ingredients too finely. Just halve or quarter them, so the water can reach the inside of the vegetable as well as the outside.
No barbeque party can be complete without this tangy, tongue-tickling dip. A very easy to make, no-fuss dip.
Now, this is what one would call a colourful and flavourful dish! the marinade is what makes this recipe unique. Use any vegetable of your choice, serve to your guests and win abundant praises. As this is cooked without oil, it is both nutritious and low in calories. In case skewers are not available, use toothpicks. . . It turns out as good as with skewers, believe me!
Yes, these are the all-time-favourite baked potatoes which are spiced with the traditional baharat powder to let the recipe find place in this book. Spinach is not added in the original baked potatoes, but here it imparts a flavour liked by the Lebanese thus it is included.
This is, without a doubt, my favourite skewer recipe and I’m sure it will become yours too, if you try it just once! Usually skewers and kebabs require lot of oil for cooking, making them a ‘prohibited’ food for diabetics. No more crest-fallen faces! Here is a modified, healthy recipe with less oil and using nutrient-rich tofu (soya paneer). Tofu is easily available in the market.
Those who suffer from diabetes are prone to infections, and require a high dose of immune-boosting nutrients like proteins, vitamin A,C, zinc etc. Ingredients like tofu, capsicum and mushroom provide a sufficient dose of these vital nutrients.
Cooked on a non-stick pan with less oil, it is a perfect lip-smacking snack that can be had without worrying about an increasing waist-line or an angry look from the physician during your next health check-up!
Macaroni fits well into almost any baked dish. Here's a quick combo of macaroni and vegetables, which satiates your hunger pangs and delights your taste buds at the same time.

Aloo based recipes are a dime a dozen! But this is my all-time favourite. I guarantee you, the stuffing used for the aloo here is a first-rate blend of tofu, nuts and spices… best combination in the whole world! Cream helps to blend the ingredients well so that it sticks well to the cavities in the scooped potatoes. Do not use big potatoes as they don't look good in the subzi, and also take longer to cook. Opt for small or medium sized potatoes. Keep them ready in advance, so that when a guest comes, you could just make the gravy, pour over the potatoes and serve. If need be, you could warm the subzi in an oven or microwave.
