This is a unique smoothie that focuses on coconut milk rather than fruits, ice-cream or yoghurt. The soothing flavour of coconut milk is perked up with the herby notes of basil, along with pineapples for tang, and spinach and flax seeds for more nutrition.


The blend of flavours and textures is just awesome in the resulting Coconut Basil Smoothie. The creamy mouth-feel together with the refreshing flavours make it a great hit with anybody.

Coconut Basil Smoothie recipe - How to make Coconut Basil Smoothie

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:    Makes 4 glasses

Ingredients

1 cup coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh)
1 cup basil leaves , torn in pieces
3 cups pineapple cubes
1 cup spinach (palak) leaves , torn into pieces
1 tbsp flax seeds
a pinch of salt
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup ice cubes

For The Garnish
shredded coconut

Method
    Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients along with ΒΌ cup of water in a mixer and blend till smooth.
  2. Pour equal quantities of the drink into 4 individual glasses.
  3. Serve immediately garnished with a little shredded coconut.
