Makes 8 tartlets
For The Bread Tartlets
8 bread slices
melted butter for greasing and brushing
For The Filling
1/2 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
2 tsp butter
2 tsp plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp grated processed cheese
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste

4 tbsp grated processed cheese

- Lightly grease a muffin tray or 8 tart moulds and keep aside.
- Remove the crusts from the bread slices.
- Flatten each slice using a rolling pin.
- Press each slice of the flattened bread into the greased muffin tray or in the tart moulds.
- Brush the bread tartlets with a little melted butter.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 8 to 10 minutes or till they turn golden brown in colour. Keep aside.

- Remove from the flame, add the sweet corn, cheese, salt and pepper and mix well.
- Cool slightly and divide the filling into 8 equal portions. Keep aside.
