Other Pudding recipe

  1. Pudding is a term generally used to refer to a dessert, sweet dish. It can be steamed or boiled and generally is milk-based. Eggless pudding can be made using a thickening agent like cornstarch, bread crumbs or veg gelatin. Our website has a huge collection of classic as well as unique pudding recipes, here are some of my personal favorites:

How to make chocolate pudding

  1. To prepare chocolate pudding in a pressure cooker, in a deep bowl take dark chocolate.
  2. Pour milk in the bowl.
  3. To create a double boiler, add about 1 to 2 inches of water in the sauce pan and put the pan on the stove on medium heat. Place the chocolate filled bowl on a double boiler. Cook till the chocolate melts, while stirring gently. Alternatively, you can even microwave on high for 40 seconds.
  4. Mix well Ensure that no lumps remain.
  5. Add the condensed milk once the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  6. Add vanilla essence to enhance the flavour of chocolate pudding. You can also make use of rose essence, kahlua, cinnamon, cardamom or coffee powder to perk up the flavour of no bake chocolate pudding.
  7. For an added crunch, we will add some walnuts.
  8. Add fresh bread crumbs. To make 1¼ cups of fresh bread crumbs, blend 7 to 8 small bread slices in a mixer until crumbly. This being an eggless pressure cooker chocolate pudding, we will be using bread crumbs to thicken the mixture and make it fudgy.
  9. Add butter. At this stage, to intensify the flavour of chocolate, you can even add some good quality cocoa powder in this mixture.
  10. Add sugar and mix well. Since, we are using sugar to balance the bitter flavour from dark chocolate. If you like the rich flavour of dark chocolate, reduce/skip adding sugar.
  11. Divide the chocolate mixture into 2 equal portions.
  12. Grease an aluminium tin with butter, ghee or oil.
  13. Pour a portion of the chocolate mixture into a greased aluminum tin.
  14. Place a small stand in a pressure cooker, add a little water and place a sieve or perforated plate over it.
  15. Place the tin on the sieve.
  16. Pressure cook for 2 whistles. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Our eggless choco pudding is ready. If you feel the pudding is very goey you can always pressure cook it for 1 more whistle.
  17. Repeat steps 12 to 16 to make 1 more batch of chocolate pudding.
  18. Keep aside to cool for at least half an hour and serve the eggless chocolate pudding. You can serve the chocolate pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can garnish the chocolate pudding with fresh fruits, cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, chocolate chips, dried  edible flowers etc. Chocolate lovers can also check out other delightful puddings like : Nutty Hot Chocolate and Coconut Pudding, Hot Fudge Pudding, Vanilla Pudding with Chocolate Sauce.
