- Chop roughly and blend in a mixer to a smooth pulp.

Add the tomatoes after the water is completely boiled only as we have to blanch the tomatoes and not cook them.

Ensure that the criss-cross cut is only half way through each tomato. Deep cut may break the tomatoes while blanching.
