  1. To make {span class="bold1"}grilled paneer{/span}, in a flat plate, combine all the ingredients to form a paste, except paneer and mix well.
  2. Add the paneer slices and coat the masala evenly over it.
  3. Grease 1 tsp of olive oil olive oil in a griller pan, place the 8 marinated paneer slices and cook using 1 tsp of olive oil on a high flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till they turn golden brown in colour from one side.
  4. Turnover and cook again on a high flame for 1 minute till the grill marks appear.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to make 1 more batch.
  6. Serve {span class="bold1"}grilled paneer{/span} immediately with green chutney and onion rings.

  1. Ingredients for pepper garlic sauce: 1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika), 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)to taste, 1/2 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste, 2 tsp cornflour, 2 tbsp tomato ketchup, salt to taste and 3/4 cup water.
  2. Combine all the ingredients in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

  1. Apply salt and pepper to taste on the paneer slices. You can also use herbs or spices of your choice.
  2. Grill the paneer on a greased grill pan on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes until they get the grill marks.

It was only after I followed the recipe that I discovered in the comments here that water needed to be added to the sauce. Thankfully, I had already added sufficient water to get the sauce right. It''s a quick, easy and tasty recipe but please make the correction so less experienced cooks don''t make a mistake and miss out enjoying the recipe as much as I did.

The sauce in the recipe looks quite liquidy. Do we need to add water while cooking it? 2tbsp of ketchup will not make it so liquidy. Please advise.

This is so yummm...... Tne sauce is easy to prepare and paneer too........ i Served it at my kitty and became a hit... A low expense but classy starter.....
