Ingredients
50 gms butter
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup steamed rice (chawal) and mashed
salt to taste
100 gms chopped mixed nuts
1 big sized onion , chopped
4 to 5 green chillies , finely chopped
1/4 cup bread crumbs
3 tbsp plain flour (maida) mixed with
little water to make a thick paste
oil for deep-frying
Method
    Method
  1. Take a pan add the butter, when heated add the flour and stir it with the help of a flat spoon on a slow flame till it is very light brown in colour.
  2. Add the milk and stir on a slow flame with help of a whisk and make sure there are no lumps present.
  3. Add the chopped nuts,salt, green chillies, onions, mashed rice and mix well.
  4. Remove from flame and keep aside. It will be like a dough.
  5. Shape them like a tikki of any desired shape.
  6. Roll them in maida paste and then in bread crumbs
  7. Deep- fry these cutlets or shallow fry them on a tava with little oil.
  8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
