Ingredients

3 cups milk
1/4 tsp citric acid (nimbu ka phool)
6 to 8 tbsp icing sugar
a pinch of cardamom (elaichi) powder
a few saffron (kesar) strands , dissolved in a little milk
a pinch of grated nutmeg (jaiphal)

For The Garnish
chopped almond (badam)
chopped pistachios

Method
    Method
  1. Bring the milk to a boil and remove from the heat.
  2. Dissolve the citric acid in 1/4 cup of warm water.
  3. Add it to the milk, stir gently and wait for 2 to 3 minutes till the milk curdles.
  4. Strain out all the whey.
  5. Put the milk solids into a blender, add the icing sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and nutmeg and blend to a smooth paste.
  6. Pour into serving bowls and chill.
  7. Serve chilled, garnished with chopped almonds and pistachios.

Nice quick dessert which is thick in consistency and tastes like paneer flavored with saffron and cardamom.
