I tried this recipe as per measurement but a lot of ghee came out of the dough while kneading and biscuits got baked black from base and unbaked from upper side

   While rolling very little ghee may come out which is ok and cookies will always be a little darker from below compared to the top but they will never be uncooked. If they are uncooked then make sure your baking is on the mode that baked from the top also.

hello thank you for your reply. im looking for a recipe for a round rusk, that melts in milk, for kids and babies. similar to brand farleys rusk. they are crumbly. ingredients are wheat flour, maize flour, sugar, wheat starch, palm oil, baking powder. do you know how to make them? if so please advise what quantity of each is needed. thanks

   Olive oil can be used in same quantity instead of ghee / butter.

This is a simple recipe. But tasted divine . Much better taste than cookies which use much more ingredients.

   These biscuits are best made in an oven. If you have a microwave you can try it on convection mode. Please check for cooking time then.

   Pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes, for the temperature and time follow as per the recipe.

   Hi, you can try to bake on a stove top, as you would do a cake in a pressure cooker. Take a pressure cooker add a cup of salt, preheat well for 15 minutes. place a steel stand, place your plate with cookies over it lower the flame and cook on a slow flame for 30 minutes.
