Ingredients


For The Dough
250 gms plain flour (maida)
salt to taste
3 tbsp oil

For The Stuffing
4 potatoes , boiled , peeled and mashed
2 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1 tsp grated ginger (adrak)
2 green chillies , chopped
1 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
1/2 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)

Method
For the dough

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough, using water.
  2. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and keep aside.

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the stuffing into 6 equal portions and keep aside.

How to proceed

    How to proceed
  1. Roll out a portion of the dough into a circle of 4” diameter.
  2. Place a portion of the stuffing at the centre and bring the edges together at the centre to seal tightly.
  3. Roll out again into a circle of 6: diameter, using little whole wheat flour.
  4. Heat a tava and cook each paratha, using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  5. Serve hot.
