Ingredients

1/2 cup rice (chawal)
1/2 cup broken green moong dal (split green gram) , de-skinned
1/2 cup sugar
15 gms cashewnuts (kaju)
15 raisins (kismis)
15 cardamoms , powdered
1/2 cup ghee
1/2 cup milk

Method
    Method
  1. Roast rice and moong dal in a kadhai for 5 minutes.
  2. Pressure cook with 2 cups of water for 2 whistles.
  3. Add the sugar, milk and saute while stirring continuously.
  4. Add the raisins and cashewnuts and mix well.
  5. Add the powdered cardamom and cook till the mixture becomes thick.
  6. Cool and serve.
