Ingredients


For The Puffed Rice Mixture
3/4 cup crushed marie biscuit
1 cup puffed rice (kurmura)
5 tbsp desiccated coconut

Other Ingredients
3 tbsp pineapple jam
1 cup chopped milk chocolate
1/2 cup coloured vermicelli

Method
    Method
  1. Combine the biscuit and puffed rice in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  2. Remove from the flame and put into a mixing bowl and make a depression in the centre. Cool completely.
  3. Heat a small non-stick pan and melt the jam on a slow flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Put the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 1 minute and mix very well.
  5. Pour this melted chocolate, jam and coconut in the depression of the puffed rice-biscuit mixture and mix thoroughly.
  6. Divide the mixture into 15 equal portions and shape them into round balls and roll each ball immediately in the coloured vermicelli till it is evenly coated from all the sides.
  7. Place into individual paper cups and keep aside to set for at least an hour at room temperature.
  8. Serve immediately.

These crispy chocolaty balls were made by me for my nephew and he just loved the crispiness and the flavours. He told me to re make them as he wanted to make his friends taste them as well. A great recipe.

Sounds great, will definitely try! But when do I use the coconut mentioned in ingredients? It is missing from the method.
