Approved Orange food colour, available in powder or liquid form, is used to colour syrups, cakes, ice creams etc. Food colouring, or colour additive, is any dye, pigment or substance that imparts color when it is added to food or drink. They come in many forms consisting of liquids, powders, gels and pastes. Food colouring is used both in commercial food production and in domestic cooking. Some times, if orange food colour is not avaialble, edible red and yellow food colous can also be mixed to prepare orange food colour.
