  1. To make Jowar Golpapdi for Kids, you need only 3 ingredients – jowar flour, ghee and jaggery. Keep all the ingredients ready as you have to be quick in cooking and setting the mixture of golpapdi.
  2. Also grease a thali of approx 5 inch and keep it ready.
  3. Now take ghee in a non-stick kadhai and allow it to heat. Add 2½ tbsp. of ghee. This will suffice to make 8 pieces.
  4. Once the ghee is hot, add the jowar flour to it. While Sukhadi is usually made with wheat flour, this is a variation to it. Jowar flour used in this recipe is a good source of iron and will help to build your baby’s hemoglobin levels.
  5. Mix well using a flat ladle.
  6. Cook jowar flour for Golpapdi on a medium flame for 3 minutes. Ensure to keep stirring occasionally, else the flour might get burnt.
  7. Remove from the flame and immediately add chopped jaggery to it.
  8. Mix very well till the jaggery melts completely in the hot mixture of Golpapdi
  9. While the mixture is still warm, pour in into the greased thali.
  10. Spread the mixture of Jowar Golpapdi for Kids evenly with the help of a small bowl (katori) or a flat spoon, whichever is comfortable for you.
  11. Again while the mixture is still warm, immediately cut into diamond shaped pieces using a sharp knife. You will get 10 pieces approximately. You need to make pieces at this stage, as once the mixture has cooled down you won’t get uniform even shaped pieces. However remember to not separate them out from each other immediately, as this will also not result in uniform shaped pieces.
  12. Keep Golpapdi for Toddlers aside to cool for at least 15 minutes.
  13. Then separate out the pieces and serve jowar golpapdi for kids | sukhadi for kids | golpapdi for toddlers |. If you wish after cooling completely you can store them in an air-tight container. They will stay fresh for 2 to 3 days.
