1 cup hung curds (chakka dahi)
1 cup condensed milk
1/3 cup mango pulp
1/8 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

For Garnish
1/2 cup chopped mangoes
rose petals for sprinkling
crushed pistachios for sprinkling

  1. To make mango bhapa doi, combine hung curd, condensed milk, mango pulp and cardamom powder in a deep bowl.
  2. Whisk well till smooth and lump free.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a lined tin and cover using an aluminum foil.
  4. Steam in a steamer on medium flame for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove and refrigerate it for about 2 hours.
  6. Once cooled, loosen the sides of the doi using a sharp knife.
  7. Demould and remove the lined paper.
  8. Garnish with chopped mangoes, rose petals and crushed pistachios.
  9. Serve mango bhapa doi chilled.
