Ingredients

2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (surajmukhi ke beej)
1 tbsp sesame seeds (til)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts (cashewnuts , almonds and pistachios)
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
salt to taste
2 tbsp raisins (kismis)

For Serving
milk
chopped mixed fruits

Method

  1. Combine the oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, brown sugar and mixed nuts in a deep bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the oil, ¼ cup of water, vanilla essence and salt in a deep bowl and mix well using a whisk.
  3. Add the oats mixture to it and mix well.
  4. Spread it in a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 25 to 30 minutes or till the mixture turns crisp and golden brown in colour, while mixing occasionally. Keep aside to cool.
  5. Add the raisins, mix well and store in an air-tight container.
  6. Serve with milk and mixed fruits of your choice.
