what is sprouts and palak idli made of?-
sprouts and palak idli recipe | sprouts spinach idli | moong palak idli | is made using easily available ingredients in India: 1 1/4 cups sprouted moong (whole green gram), 1/2 cup finely chopped spinach (palak), 1/2 tsp roughly chopped green chillies, 3 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour), salt to taste, oil for greasing and 1 tsp fruit salt. how to make batter for idli-
In a mixer, add 1 ¼ cups sprouted moong (whole green gram).

Add ½ cup finely chopped spinach (palak).

Add ½ tsp roughly chopped green chillies.

Add approx. 5 tbsp of water in a mixer.

Blend into a smooth paste.

Transfer the paste into a bowl.

Add the salt to taste.

Add 3 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour).

Add 1 tbsp water.

Mix well to make a batter of pouring consistency.

Just before steaming, add 1 tsp fruit salt over the batter.

When the bubbles start to form, mix the batter gently.
how to make sprouts and palak idli-
Grease an idli mould with a little oil, pour spoonfuls of the batter into the greased idli mould and pat it lightly to spread the batter evenly.

Repeat step 5 to prepare more idli moulds.

Steam in a steamer for 10 to 12 minutes or till the idlis are cooked.

Remove, cool slightly and demould.

Serve sprouts and palak idli hot with sambhar.
