This delicious cheese, olive and sun-dried tomato topped bread is perfect with pasta and would also double up as a welcome appetiser! Cut this loaf into bite size pieces. It is perfect for parties, buffets and to serve with pre-dinner drinks.

3 hot dog rolls / cut into two horizontally

To Be Mixed Into A Topping
10 sun-dried tomatoes , soaked in warm water for 30 minutes and finely chopped
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 1/4 cups grated processed cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped black olives
1 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste

  1. Divide the topping into 6 equal portions and spread a portion of the topping on each hot dog roll halve.
  2. Arrange the hot dog roll halves on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 4 to 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  3. Cut into pieces and serve immediately.

  1. You will find sun-dried tomatoes available dry or preserved in olive oil at gourmet stores.
  2. If you are using sun-dried tomatoes preserved in olive oil, you do not have to soak them in water. Just drain the excess olive oil before using them in this recipe.

As soon as these came out of the oven no one could resist it as they were smelling ssoo good..Truely the sun dried tomatoes have a v distinct flavour and the melted cheese just cant make you stop for one, but more..Chilli flakes give it a fiery taste, although one can add less if they like less spicy..
