This delicious cheese, olive and sun-dried tomato topped bread is perfect with pasta and would also double up as a welcome appetiser! Cut this loaf into bite size pieces. It is perfect for parties, buffets and to serve with pre-dinner drinks.

Baking Temperature:  200°C (400°F)

Ingredients


For Baked Sun-dried Tomatoes and Cheese Rolls
3 hot dog rolls / cut into two horizontally

To Be Mixed Into A Topping
10 sun-dried tomatoes , soaked in warm for 30 minutes and finely chopped
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1 1/4 cups grated processed cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped black olives
1 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste

Method

For baked sun-dried tomatoes and cheese rolls

  1. Divide the topping into 6 equal portions and spread a portion of the topping on each hot dog roll halve.
  2. Arrange the hot dog roll halves on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 4 to 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  3. Cut the {span class="bold1"}baked sun-dried tomatoes and cheese rolls{/span} into pieces and serve immediately.

Handy tip:

  1. You will find sun-dried tomatoes available dry or preserved in olive oil at gourmet stores.
  2. If you are using sun-dried tomatoes preserved in olive oil, you do not have to soak them in water. Just drain the excess olive oil before using them in this recipe.
