Maggi and Baked Beans on Crackers is a zesty snack that will appeal to young and old alike. Crunchy crackers are topped with masaledar Maggi Noodles and a yummy mix of baked beans and tangy ketchup. Ingredients


For The Maggi Noodles
1 packet (70 gms) maggi noodles

For The Baked Beans Topping
5 tbsp baked beans
2 tsp oil
1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
12 cream cracker biscuits
6 tsp grated processed cheese

Method
For the maggi noodles

  1. Boil 1 cup of water in a broad non-stick pan, add the maggi noodles and the masala, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

For the baked beans topping

  1. Heat the oil in a small non-stick pan, add the garlic and onions and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  2. Add the baked beans, tomato ketchup and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

  1. Take a cream cracker biscuit, top it with 1 tbsp of maggie noodles, 1 tsp of the baked beans topping and finally ½ tsp of cheese.
  2. Repeat step 1 to make 11 more maggi and baked beans crackers.
  3. Serve immediately.

For the maggi noodles

  1. Boil 1 cup of water in a broad non-stick pan.
  2. Add the maggi noodles.
  3. Add the masala.
  4. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

For the baked beans topping

  1. Heat the oil in a small non-stick pan.
  2. Add the garlic, this gives a very nice flavour.
  3. Add the onions.
  4. Sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  5. Add the baked beans. This comes in a tin readymade and is available everywhere, in case you do not want to buy and have time , you can use soaked and boiled rajma.
  6. Add the tomato ketchup. The spicy sauce can also be used.
  7. Add the salt.
  8. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Take a cream cracker biscuit and place it on a clean, dry surface. You can use any type of biscuit but make sure its not a sweet biscuit. Crackers would taste the best so we have used those.
  2. Top it with 1 tbsp of maggie noodles.
  3. Add 1 tsp of the baked beans topping.
  4. Finally sprinkle ½ tsp of cheese evenly over it. we have used processed cheese, mozzarella can also be used.
  5. Repeat step 1 to 4 to make 11 more maggi and baked beans crackers. Serve immediately.
