Ingredients


400 gms fresh broccoli
3 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp M.S.G (optional)
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder and 1 tbsp. of oil
oil for frying, salt to taste

Method

  1. Break the broccoli into small florets.
  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper and ajinomoto and keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Heat 1 tb sp oil and sauté the broccoli pieces for two minutes.
  4. Mix the cornflour, maida, salt and add water to form a smooth thick batter.
  5. Heat the oil and dip each broccoli floret in the prepared batter and deep fry until crispy.
  6. Garnish with parsley and onion and serve hot with tomato ketchup and chilli sauce.
