The ingredients that provide its unique taste include tamarind or extract, anchovies, vinegar, molasses, corn syrup, water, chilli peppers, soy sauce, pepper, onions, shallots, cloves and garlic. The sauce is aged for at least two months - usually longer - before it is bottled.
