3/4 cup roughly chopped gooseberries
1 tsp lemon juice
2 1/2 tbsp sugar

  1. Combine the gooseberries, lemon juice and ½ cup of water in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  3. Cool completely and store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. Use as required.
