4 leftover chapatis
1 cup Mexican Fried Rice
oil for grilling

For the hot and sour sauce
2 tbsp tomato puree
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp chilli sauce
2 tsp cornflour
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients with ¼ cup of water in a small pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes so it thickens.
  3. Keep aside to cool.

  1. Place one chapati on a clean dry surface.
  2. Spread a thin layer of the hot and sour sauce on it.
  3. Top with ¼ cup of Mexican fried rice and roll up tightly.
  4. Grill on a greased sandwich griller using a little oil.
  5. Repeat with the remaining chapatis, hot and sour sauce and Mexican fried rice to make 3 more rolls.
  6. Serve immediately.

This recipe is really nice and quick to make if you have chapatis and Mexican rice left over...The sauce is the only recipe to be made...the sauce taste fab...The grilling of these rolls make them more tasty and crispy.
